Just a few last notes before tomorrow morning:

As part of the centre’s COVID protocols, Chiefs will need to collect their event trolley from the equipment shed – the trolleys will not be moved out for you.At the end of the day, Chiefs are to return their trolley to the equipment shed.

Gates will be open from around 7.00am to allow pedestrian access and all but the main gate in Swanston St will be closed by 8.40am.

No general carparking in Landy Field – all vehicles are to be parked outside the venue in Swanston St or surrounding streets.

Allow yourselves plenty of time to get in to the venue – remember ALL attendees are required to check in to the venue using the QR codes that will be at the entrances.

Masks are compulsory for anyone 12yo or older (unless you have a valid exemption – this will be recorded when you enter the venue).

Geelong Advertiser photographer will be onsite – if you don’t want photos taken make sure to notify GLAC.

Anyone registered as a “TRY’OUT” needs to report to the South Barwon marquee. Make sure you have printed out the bib you received via email from LAVic.

Competition bibs for all fully registered athletes can be collected from the South Barwon marquee.

Here’s the program for week 1 of competition and the first events for each age group.

NOTE: We are operating a modified program this week with only 4 events per age group. There will be no Walks this week and the U8’s will do a 100m instead of a 700m.

Just a quick reminder to anyone who needs new uniform items for this season – check out our Uniform page for details as to what is available and payment options.

Orders placed by 5.00pm Thursday 12th November will be available for collection on the first day of competition (Saturday 14th November).

Collection prior to this date can be arranged for orders placed via email and paid online.

After a lot of hard work in preparing to operate in a COVID-safe environment, the 2020-2021 GLAC Track & Field season will commence on Saturday 14th November 2020.

To be COVID compliant, things will look a lot different this season. Details are still to be finalised but we will all need to adapt and work together to make sure things run smoothly and everyone stays safe and healthy whilst still enjoying the Little Athletics experience.

More details will be made available shortly, but for the moment we are asking everyone to go to the LAVic Member Portal and register ASAP so we can get a good indication of how many athletes we will have onboard for the season. This will help with planning for the season.

Also, if you are after any new uniform, get in touch and we will arrange to have items put aside and payment/collection can be arranged. Check our Uniform page for items and pricing.

Given the current situation with regards to social distancing and restrictions on group activities, the South Barwon committee have decided to conduct a “virtual” presentation to cap off our 2019-20 Track & Field season.

Date & time are still TBC, but keep an eye out for updates.

We have recently updated the SBLAC RECORDS page with results from this seasons GLAC competition but if you know of any performances at State/Regional events (ie: LAVic events) please let us know so we can include them.
